Celebrations of the nations day- Diwali festival of light

Blog Entry: 13th November 2020

Throughout the year we have various 'celebrations of the nations days'. This week we have been discovering the Diwali festival of lights to honor Rama-chandra, the seventh avatar (incarnation of the god Vishnu).
Ghossiya has been able to help us learn about this tradition in which, she and some of our children celebrate at home.
The children, if they wanted to have been able to discover and try some vegan indian baking- we made crackers called 'Papri'! We have had the opportunity to dance to and listened to some indian music and created some beautiful clay candle holders.
